Hard to keep up

Now I see that it is hard to keep up a blog. I email some people, update on Facebook for others. Trying to keep this up for a 3rd set - ugh. So maybe I'll let this go by the wayside.. Sorry!

Couch rest

In trying to keep the baby from coming before Sunday (when Mom will visit to help out), I am keeping my feet up, resting/reading mostly, the last 2 days. We did have a nice one-hour visit with Reichenbachers yesterday. I have pictures I'll post at some point. Jeremy has been a big help with his little sister. Thanks for prayers during this time.

1 week, 6 days, but who's counting?

Me obviously! I'm sure you don't want to know my aches & pains, so I'll suffice it to say that I'm ready for baby Jess to make her appearance. I want the right OB dr on call, and I want my mom here, so she really should wait until her planned arrival on Aug 11.

Alex and Jeremy went to the Jackson County Fair last night, to watch the Demolition Derby. Joanna and I joined them on Sunday, but the walk is hard for me, so I opted to wait to go back until Friday.

Yesterday was a busy day - I registered for this impending birth at the hospital (lots of paperwork!), then had my weekly OB appt. Then after lunch, Joanna had her 18-mo checkup (yes late, she turned 18 mo on July 6), and got a good report. Just above 50% for weight, just above 75% for height.

Then on to the pool for some warm-afternoon fun. Joanna and I were wiped out after dinner.

Won't bore you with more at this point.

mid-July

Obviously haven't posted in a while. Still not sure how to get the most out of this "blog" thing - how to get pix/video clips on here - maybe one has to purchase extra space?

Baby Jess' induction is scheduled 3 weeks from today Aug 11 (because due date is 4 weeks from today, and the first day of 4th grade for Jeremy).

Am trying something new for a slideshow of pictures.. Hope it works!

Our weekend

Not even sure who all follows this..?

We had a nice weekend. Jeremy played in a rain-delayed game Friday eve - it was neat to see how they "fixed" the field after the brief downpour drenched it (several people huddled inside the dugout, only getting marginally wet, us included). Saturday morning was our normal grocery trip, then a nice walk in the evening. Sunday was a walk to the playground in the evening. Monday morning was Jeremy's "track & field day" at the high school, and in the evening Alex & Jeremy cleaned up our yard. The weather is supposed to heat up the rest of this week - time for the AC!

Our weekend

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Jeremy had a hard-fought baseball game Friday eve (they won despite the rain and the umps). Saturday we had a special birthday lunch out for Jeremy @ Pizza Hut's buffet. Then today we just all played in the 65 degrees, perfect weather, beautiful afternoon.
