As I get older, it truly seems that time is speeding up. When Jeremy was just a baby, I remember people saying the time would fly by. It did not, not to me anyway.
Now with 3 kids though, it has definitely started to fly.
Jeremy is greatly enjoying cross-country, has 2 more practices and 2 more meets, then he's done until next year. I think track starts in Feb or March, but not sure. Goodness, what will he do with his extra time? He's still in band this year, so that does take some time every day.
Joanna - reviews are mixed about preschool. In the beginning, she seemed to love it. Then she started having troubles. She kept telling me that the teacher was yelling at her (not true). We THINK that she is just very sensitive (I've been accused of being too tender with my children), and is getting "upset" when another boy from class (who gets in trouble OFTEN) is getting yelled at. Or spoken loudly to. However, you want to put it. She's also decided she no longer wants to eat a snack. That's fine, but I do still have to send one each time. I do know that she is learning - she is reading letters to me (so obviously recognizing them), and pointing out the numbers zero and two. They did one too, but she doesn't point that one out often. Still waiting on Joanna to night-potty-train. She'll be 4 in January, but hopefully she'll get it soon. I've read some kids don't get it (at night) until 5-6 yrs old.
Jessica - she was SO close to being potty trained. Then we put her in a toddler bed (got rid of her crib) and her world changed. She had a major setback in potty training. She had been dry for 6 weeks at night, but has only been dry one night since. *sigh* I know she'll get there, but it is even harder to wait now that she was almost there before. She has many more issues with daytime training now too. Her language/vocabulary skills are finally expanding, which is good. She still has the tubes in her ears, but I don't think they are "in place" but it doesn't seem to matter at this point. She had the one ear infection in late July, but nothing since. We continue to keep a watchful "eye" on things.
I have changed, just this week, from doing laundry one day per week (and being exhausted for at least the next day, somewhat the next 2), to 5 days per week, but fewer loads each day. This might not seem a big deal, but I do think my energy level has already increased because of it. It is nice to know laundry is usually done by noon. I did 3 loads on Monday, then 3 loads Tuesday, then 2 loads today. I'll probably have just one load Thurs, and one on Friday. I didn't think I'd like splitting it up like that, but so far I do.
I've been fighting a sore throat for over a week. Alex finally caught it Monday I think. I'm using Thieves oil blend, and RC oil blend, trying to knock it out, as is Alex. We think Joanna had a touch of it last Thursday, which might have been the start of her not wanting to eat snack at preschool.
I have a book due at the library today but I'm not finished. I suppose I should go read more of it so I can return it on the way to church tonight. I wasn't able to renew.
I'm also working on sandwich bread. Another minute and I'll turn the oven on to preheat for baking it. It doesn't seem to have risen as much as normal, boo.
Alex is on projector duty this month at church. Sometimes that can be a challenge.
I guess that's it for now. Stay warm!
